TOURIST GUIDE

SUMMER FUN

All you need to do in order to have a perfect summer day when you are in Lebanon is to make a choice and to let yourself enjoy the fun, and remember you can't go wrong, because there aren't really any bad options.

Shopping:

First class experience, first class shopping. Over the last decade, Beirut has been turning in to a fashion capital, and it has done it beautifully and in style. The latest from all famous designer names, Prada, Gucci, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, and much much more, as well as the cheap and chic casual brands, will certainly meet all tastes and budgets. You probably wouldn't and shouldn't beat the temptation to shop while you are in Lebanon; it is just too good to be ignored, and no trip to Beirut is complete without a visit to the country's Magnificent Miles.

The Beaches:

If you decide you want to spend a day at the beach, you will have a long list of options to pick from. First you will need to decide weather you want to go to a sandy beach,  and in this case vote for either, Tyer, Jiyeh and Byblos, or to a rocky beach, and in this case go to Batroun. Resorts in the above mentioned places offer a lot of activities, including Ski doo and Parachuting. If you are looking for exotic fun and a lot of glamour, you should also visit some of the resorts in this area. Some famous and very trendy resorts include La Voile Bleue and Bamboo Bay in Jiyeh, Paradise Beach in Byblos and many others.

If you are tight on time, you could stay in Beirut, relax, catch a nice tan and enjoy a drink by the Pool of the many resorts the capital hosts. Famous resorts include the Riviera, the Movenpick, the Sheraton, the Saint-Georges, Portemilio and Samaya...

The Mountains:

Away from the coast noise and the heat, a day at the mountains is an experience no visitor should miss. This is in fact a recipe for relaxation. Beautiful forests, glorious rivers, and great food. Make sure you talk to people. They are warm and pleasant and would love to tell you about their hometown. There is along list for good locations with picturesque scenes that are fit for picnics, including all the small towns in the famous Lebanese mountains. An increasing number of tour organizers are offering arranged trips in groups to exquisite locations.

Sightseeing:

With so much to do while you are here, you may be tempted to skip the sightseeing. Don't.

Try to give at least a couple of days for such activities. Baalbeck, Byblos, and Geitta are undoubtedly not be missed.

Eating out and Clubbing:

One thing Lebanon is most well know for, is good food. One thing the Lebanese people are most well know for is their love for good life. Blend the two, and the outcome would be an unrivaled scene of hospitality, fun, and well being. In fact, Lebanese cuisine, is rich, healthy and light. Most famous dishes are Tabboule, Kibbeh Nayyeh, Warak Arish, and Homos.

But that's not all, the Lebanese restaurants scene offer most international cuisines, and at all budgets.

So when it comes to restaurants, clubbing and pubbing, again all you have to do is choose. Come, share the food and share the fun.
